Meet The Staff
Owner/Director-Katey Neal
Katey Neal is the owner & director of The Studio Dance Company in Fouke, AR and is a certified dance teacher. She has been dancing for 25 years and teaching for 10 years. She was apart of the American dance/drill team organization, choreographed for local high school dance teams & taught for 2 years as an instructor at Dance Alley. Katey took dance classes growing up under the direction of Erica Abernathy & Judith McCarty school of dance. Katey has performed in many community ballet performances over the years including; Nutcracker & Coppelia. To futher her education, Katey graduated as a licensed costmetologist in August 2014. Katey is married to Greg Neal and together they have 1 daughter, Aubrey Neal.
Instructor- Erica Collins
Erica Collins has been dancing for 20 years and has taught/assisted for 7 years. She began dancing at Arkansas Academy of Dance Arts under the direction of Erika Abernathy and has performed in many Texarkana Community Ballet performances of the Nutcracker and Coppelia. The majority of her dance training has been under the teaching of Meagan Anderson at Dance Alley where she also completed her teachers training and became a certified dance teacher. Along with dance, Erica also cheered for the Arkansas High Razorbacks in school for 6 years. She recently became a certified and accredited interscholastic coach through NFHS. Erica graduated from Texas A&M University Texarkana with a Bachelor’s of science degree in Psychology last December and hopes to continue her education in their Master’s program.
Instructor- Meagan Anderson
I have been in the art of dance for 25 years. I started taking dance from Cheryl Cooper in Fouke,Ar when I was 3 years old. At the age of 6 I transferred my education of dance to learn under Erika Abernathy at Arkansas Academy of Dance Arts. At the age of 16 I started a training course to get my certificate of ballet and tap which I received at 18. I continued to teach for AADA until the age of 21. In August of 2011 I opened my own studio in Fouke, AR called Dance Alley. I owned Dance Alley for 3 years until I moved to Lafayette LA with my family. During my time in Lafayette I taught under the director Natalie Meyers of Academy of Christian Arts. In 2017 we moved our family back to Texarkana AR. The Fall of 2017 I began teaching under Katey Neal the owner and director of The Studio Dance Company.
Tumbling Assistant- Kristen Coker
Kristen has been a tumbler/cheerleader for 20 years, and has been teaching for 9 years. She has taken from Mrs. Belle at Arkansas high, East Texas
Gymnastics in Tyler TX, and also at Rock ‘N’ Rollstudios in magnolia. She has taught at Dance Alley (under Meagan Anderson) and also at Rock ‘N’ Roll studio in Magnolia, AR. Kristen cheered for the SAU Muleriders 2013-2014. She was an All American cheerleader for 6 years. She is a EMT part time for Lifenet. She’s been working there for 2 and a half years. She is a Police Officer for Texarkana Arkansas police department. She also has completed the Advanced CPR course.
Assistant Instructor- Morgan Musgrove
Hello, I'm Morgan Musgrove! I fell in love with dancing at ten years old. I'm experienced in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and hip hop. I've competed in a number of dance competitions over the years and loved going to conventions with my team. I'm 23 with wonderful husband named Ethan and a 9 month old girl named Ella. I'm so excited to meet all of the parents and teach your little ones!
Jr. Assistant- Emma Williams
Emma Williams is 12 years old, and will be entering the 8th grade this next school year at Genoa Middle School. She is an A/B honor roll student, and is also a member of the Genoa Junior High track team. She is in her 8th year of dance at The Studio, and this completes her 2nd year as an assistant teacher. She has aspirations to finish her teachers certification, and one day own a dance studio of her very own, which has been a dream of Emma’s since she was very young in dance. Her absolute favorite past time is no surprise, dance! From dancing in the living room, to putting on private performances for family members whether they want it or not, she spends the majority of her time on her toes and keeping everyone else on theirs!
Jr. Assistant- Daniella Vickery
I'm Daniella also known as Ella. I have been dancing for Nine years and have now assisted for one. I attend Fouke Paulette Smith Middle School and will be going into the eighth grade. Aside from dance I play flute in the Fouke Middle school band and enjoy reading. I LOVE to dance. Dance is my passion and to be able to pass my passion knowledge on to younger students is a huge honor to me and I wish to all the amazing students and staff members an amazing dance year.
